A collared shirt

I love to wear a collared shirt.  It looks good for any occasion.  I like to wear it when I go to see someone that is important to me.  It is one way to show respect for a person.

Getting dressed in one is a whole story on its own.  I never hurry when I want to wear such a shirt.  It takes me about three to five minutes to get dressed.  To get the buttons through the button hole takes a lot of concentration.  Sometimes when I reach the final one, I look up in the mirror and see that it’s skew.  I have to start all over again and make sure that the right button goes into the right button hole.  Finally, when it’s done, I throw my hands up in the air and shout: Yes!  But then I see the cuff buttons are still undone, and there is no way I can do them with one hand.  Sometimes I start over again. Other times I just pull the shirt over my head but then I might lose a few buttons in the process.
Usually, after I have done my ironing I button it up, but in the end it is so creased that I have to iron it again.

What a mission! But it’s all the worth it, because the first impression is a great start to a good conversation.
