A weekend prayer
Throughout the week we come into contact with people who have been hurt, that are ill and who have experienced pain. But, through prayer and faith we may find salvation in the Lord and the strength to carry our burdens.

Psalm 41:3
The LORD sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.
Dear Lord of Mercy and Father of Comfort, You are the Just judge, Holy and True. You are the Most High God, the creator of and the One who sustains everything that exists. You hold all power in Your hands and You give us life.
In love and compassion You reached down from heaven to make a difference in our lives – To redeem us from the pit of discouragement, to heal all our diseases and to give us a hope and a future. Lord, we want to thank You that You are the miracle worker, the great physician, for the sick. You are the healer of broken hearts; You are the One who sets us free from the bondage of our pain and suffering. You promised to put the healing balm on our wounded souls.
We thank You that You are a refuge in the time of storm. So help us, in our weakness, to put our trust in You. To know that You read our thoughts, You see our sighing and crying and You will wipe away our tears.
As we enter this weekend may we also enter into Your rest and may we abide in Your love. Amen. – Dr. C. Finucane
