Planning my Day
I like to plan my day so that I know how much time I have to prepare for a meeting, so that I can be ready for it. By doing this, I keep my anxiety level under control.
Last week I went to see my psychologist in Centurion. The plan was not to sleep over, but to drive through, see her and then make a quick pit stop and drive home to rest. After the stop, I decided to see a lady I worked with before. I stayed an extra two hours and only left at four o’clock that afternoon. That night I also went to a prayer group. There were too many activities, with no time to rest. For the following two days, I was so tired that I couldn’t cycle. I had gained enough strength by Friday, but only did twenty kilometers. After the ride, I started to feel better.
In the week to come I need to do a last long distance trip. I’m aiming to do one hundred kilometers on Tuesday. From then on, Rochelle said I could only do short distances of about forty or fifty kilometers. My body needs to rest and build up strength.
I can’t believe that it’s only a couple of days away. Sometimes I feel a bit anxious and other rimes I’m really excited.
During the day, I make a point of resting, whether it’s having a nap or just relaxing, listening to the radio, visiting friends or taking a stroll in the local mall. When I go to gym, I only do light passive aggressive or pool exercises.
