Play!

Play makes up such a big part of our childhood, however as an adult most of the time we feel that the only “play” we get, is when we are being played the fool. Therefore, play is seen as something that needs to be left behind as we enter adulthood and our focus turns more to the insurance of wellbeing.

To manage and improve our wellbeing we need to make sure that we are paying attention to all aspects of our lives. Unfortunately for many, as an adult, we feel that the most important aspects of wellbeing is based on material things. Wellbeing is based on thing like; do you have a job?; do you make enough money to support your family?; Are you relatively healthy?; Are you in good physical shape?

Unfortunately we are not concerned with our emotional wellbeing as we believe if I have all these material things I will be happy, but we do nothing to find the happiness separate from what society tells us we need to be happy.

As part of our happiness helps campaign we gave out green bouncy balls and every time someone received one they would give this uncontrollable giggle. To me that just proves that play is happiness. Play is not something that only children do but it is a necessity to our soul.

We can play is so many different ways: play in the rain, go play with the dog, play a board game with friends or family, play a prank on a work mate.
