Beauty that is skin deep!

For many beauty is a physical thing, it is about how you look and whether or not you fit the “mould”. Others might think this is very shallow and that beauty is only “skin deep”. But if this is the case why do we spend   thousands and thousands each year on looking good? Improving our looks? Trying to fit the mould? We are so preoccupied with what others look at that we don’t even recognise who is staring back at us in the mirror.

Don’t get me wrong I get it, believe me I get it. Life is hard if you are not physically blessed! Kids can be so mean, I just remember when I was at school I was constantly told how horrible looking my nose was, so much so that till this day I dream of having a nose job. These individuals created this illusion in me that if my nose looked different I would be better in some way

We never notice the beauty because we are too busy trying to create it!!

beauty create

I know what you are thinking…. you are probably thinking to yourself: “I don’t know what she is on about, I see nothing wrong with her nose, and she is so ungrateful at least she has a nose”. All of these statements are so true, but as you sit there all of you have that one thing you believe is holding you back from being beautiful. Maybe it is a few kilograms here and there are maybe some wrinkles you can do without. You are right there is something holding you back from being beautiful…….YOU!! You refusing to see what is beautiful, yes we all have flaws, but sometimes the beauty is in the flaw.

Okay Okay, I am not going to preach for you because I still believe if losing those few kilos or getting rid of those wrinkles will make you feel better about you…why not? Just never forget who you are doing it for. You should never do it to please anyone but you.
