Challenge your perceptions today!
Have you ever seen this before?
It is a type of an optical illusion. There are two pictures intertwined into this one, which one can you see? The young lady or the old lady?
I often use this in my groups for destructive beliefs and negative perceptions. Very often most people can only see one or the other, but can seldom see both. This really increases the irritability in the room as people become frustrated from not being able to see one or the other picture. My advice to these individuals usually is, stop looking at the picture you can see and 9 out of the 10 times they are able to see the other picture.
This activity proves that when we are so rigid and closed off and only see life (the big picture) from one perspective we often miss all the possibilities. This is what happens when we believe others’ negative perceptions about us or form our own negative perceptions about others or situations. Be open to the infinite possibilities that exist.
