The queen of procrastination
“Tomorrow is another day”…this phrase will probably be the end of me, my tomb stone will most probably read read…”Famous last words: I will go go to the doctor tomorrow”. I am the queen of procrastination; I know what you are thinking….. you think you are, but trust me you’re not.
For years I have tried (and failed) to start earlier and not leave everything for the last minute. This approach really worked for me when I was younger, I performed well under that immense pressure. However, I have found that in the work place these pressures are a constant and may cause severe stress or burnout. You might think it is okay to be burning the midnight oil to get the project done in time, but as soon as that one is done the next one is waiting for you. Therefore, my best advice with regard to this is boundaries, boundaries and boundaries.
You have to learn when to say no, you have to know when to put in the work and you also have to know when to put the work aside, you have to learn to put yourself first when it comes to your health. If you know I how to do this you will be able to manage the pressure of life.
P.S. If you know how to do this, show me how!
