On Monday I went to Pretoria to see my doctors for a follow up. Both of them were very pleased with my progress.  I told my psychiatrist thati’m actually looking forward to August because it will be a all different ball game than the previous years.  This year I am have a clear purpose.  I can’t stop with my training just because I don’t feel up to it.  If I stop my training for a whole month just so I can rest and take things easy all my training will be in vain.  Apart from my health. I also need to train for seventy kilometers and I’ll be facing the strong winds that come with August.  Talking to Rochelle about this she said that we should also be careful not to push myself to far, because it might lead to a burnout.

I’m suffering from sleep apnea which also makes it difficult to get through the day.  While I was in Pretoria I picked up a sleep cube.  This is a device that I wear at night when a sleep to blow oxygen in my lungs which means I rest electively and wake up feeling refreshed.  I believe this will help me a great deal August.

Something more exciting…  I got my Vista cycling shirt which I will wear at a race.  The feeling that I got the first time that I tried it on was something to remember.  I felt like I’m part of something bigger than just me.  Something that will change people starting in my own live!
