The earthquake

There is of course no way we can ignore the hottest topic in south Africa right now…yes the earthquake. Even though I did not feel a single thing (believe it or not) the most fascinating thing for me was everyone’s reactions after wards. Some people were calm and collected and chucked the whole thing up to a plane passing by or some type of rock fall somewhere, some felt scared and did not really know what to do so they just stood there and then there were the people who probably ran over the nearest pastor they could find as it was believed to be the end of days.

This just reminded me of the fact that we all react to life so very differently, but the question is who would really have survived the earthquake if it had been more serious? Would it have been the cool calm and collected ones, would have been the ones that ran out of there as fast as their legs could carry them…..the truth is we do not know!! In every life situation we have a reaction (even not reacting is a reaction), but the real question is will your reaction be the one that gets you through the problem? Will your reaction be the one that makes this easier for you or harder?

Think of the life situation you are in now, are you the one keeping things calm and working towards a plan or are you inviting the drama into your life?????
