Life is like riding a bicycle
To keep your balance, you must keep moving!
When you start to train on your bike there are two actions you need to do before you can continue: finding your balance and keeping it! Balance can be defined as a state of rest to the equal action of opposing forces.
Before you get onto a bike, make sure that you have a helmet on to protect your head, and tighten it. You also need to know your bike! Know what its limits are regarding speed and brakes. Always look ahead of you while on the road. If you see a pot-hole, rock or paper bags you will have time to react to it! When you fall, get up and try again. Take note of fellow cyclists and other road users. When you know all of this and increase your fitness and strength level, you’ll be more skilled on the road.
These principles can help us do life better! If we know the truth that we are God’s children, we know how do to life in the freedom that Jesus gives! We are encouraged to live life to the full. Yes, it isn’t easy, but when we fall into temptation, His grace is there to help us to get up and to continue. We are never alone in the race. People doing the same race will encourage us to complete it. Gaining strength and wisdom during the race means we can share it with those behind us.
Balancing these, we enjoy riding a bike because we know how!
